October 2009 during a Saturday night special at Santa Pod we tested some more developments on the scooters with good results.
Side by side runs up the drag strip both resulting in low 12 second runs and the first time at this strip that two scooters have run side by side at over 100mph. |

A montage of still shots from the earlier days of our drag racing, as with most things we move on and develop but the basic scoots remain the same. |

Straightliners 2009.
With a strong headwind Team Dwarf Racing are both head to head in the final of the Top Scooter class.
Red Dwarf had had issues with traction and transmission but we lined up.
Both had slow reaction times and sure enough Dave on Red had the transmission slip just passed the 60ft line giving me on Blue a chance to pull away.
Red tried hard to pull it back but despite my slower speed i took the win. |

June 2009.
After trying for a couple of years Team Dwarf Racing with their drag scooter Red Dwarf and Dave as the pilot finally managed to beat the World Record set by PM Tuning and Joe Elliot for the fastest standing start 1/4mile for an automatic single cylinder two stroke scooter at the FIA approved drag strip at Santa Pod.
The time was 11.9037 seconds at a terminal speed of 108.27mph.
I had the camera onboard my drag scooter Blue Dwarf to capture this run and tried to slow enough to catch the timing lights as Dave on Red passed under the bridge but just missed out. |

August 2008
And with our experimentation with Nitrous Oxide injection and a change of transmission gearing aiming for terminal speed over acceleration comes the fastest terminal speed over a standing start 1/4 mile from
an automatic single cylinder two stroke scooter 119.81mph. |

With Red Dwarf stripped for further development the oppertunity arose for me to take Blue Dwarf out on the strip for some practice and to run against the bikes during one of the many Run What Ya Brung sessions at Santa Pod. |
